AUGP Ambassadors of Peace are distinguished individuals with doctoral and or post-doctoral qualifications, carefully selected from the fields of art, literature, law, theology, science, entertainment, sports or other fields of public life, who have agreed to help focus worldwide attention on the work of AUGP and raise awareness of AUGP’s global efforts to improve the lives of billions of people everywhere. Only a few individuals gain admission each year and that is,  after a thorough selection process.

Individuals invited to serve as Global Ambassadors of Peace shall possess the personality and dignity required for such high-level representative capacity and be persons of integrity who demonstrate a strong desire to help mobilize public interest in, and support for, the purposes and principles of AUGP, and who demonstrate the commitment and proven potential to reach out to significant audiences, including decision-makers.

As Peace Ambassadors, they are required to respect and uphold the constitution of the country in which they are citizens or in the countries where they reside.

They should refrain from any activity incompatible with the purposes and principles of their respective governments and whenever possible extend their support for peace-building efforts.

The Chairman AUGP on the advice of the International Governors and Diplomatic Mission appoints Peace Ambassadors-at-Large and  Peace Ambassadors at an International Convocation.

ALL APPOINTMENTS MADE AND IDS ISSUED WITHOUT THE APPROVAL OF THE CHAIRMAN ARE CONSIDERED NULL AND VOID.

They hold diplomatic status and are issued with UN-registered ID cards and the foreign authorities are requested to afford such assistance and protection as may be necessary with immunity in accordance with the Geneva Convention.
