Chairman AUGP Sri Lanka Prof.Lakshman Madurasinghe

Prof. Lakshman Madurasinghe is a Lawyer, Behavioural Scientist, Educationist, Thought Leader & Strategist, Author of four books including Clinical Psychology, Buddhism & Christianity. He is the pioneer of e-Consciousness model of transformation. His vision is to empower people to maximize their true potential and lead optimal lives.

He provides leadership and governance of the board of AUGP-UNUGP with branches in over 77 countries and deals with their legal, strategy, policy, diplomacy, commercial and infrastructural funding matters in conformity with the United Nations and European Parliament guidelines. Functions as Chancellor of The University For Global Peace-UNUGP, Senior International Governor of AUGP, USA, Chairman AUGP USA Sri Lanka operations. He is an Academic Committee Member of EDU Brussels and a Professor of Amity, USA.

His research interests include assessment and treatment of anxiety disorders, psychopathology emphasizing information processing models that describe the role of attention and the impact of the cognitive processes on interpersonal functioning, the study of different neuro-cognitive models; The cognitive, emotional and neural correlates of creativity; Consciousness and Altered States of Consciousness. He also takes a keen interest in the culture, language, religions and the protohistory of Sri Lanka which goes back to 30,000 years ago to Homosapiens Balangodensis. He was the Chief researcher in the 2003 project covering Beli Lena which investigated the use of microlithic tools for healing.

He has published several research papers and theses including ” Neuro-Physiological Correlates of Altered States of Consciousness”, and is the author of “Organizational Behaviour”, Joint author of “ Clinical Psychology”, A Handbook of Job Evaluation, Foundations of Christian faith and a set on “World Religions covering Buddhism and Christianity”.
